Introduction
As the children of Albert and Elsie Daysh, we have all felt that there is a sense of uniqueness about our childhood. None of our friends seemed to have experienced such a memorable family with so many idiosyncrasies, family jokes and background of storytelling. Like most families we were not always happy, but we did believe that our parents gave us their love and acceptance and hoped that we would be worthwhile citizens. We always had a deeply held sense that God was important to us, and we also knew without doubt that some things were intrinsically wrong and some, often the harder things to do, were right.
We are grateful that we have our history to fall back on when, in our maturity, we still find things puzzling or onerous and perhaps are faced with admitting to ourselves that we can be as intractable and awkward towards others as they seem to be to us.
This site is offered to you all in memory of Elsie and Albert and to remind you that you come from a long line of good people who displayed courage, stamina and perseverance as they lived through the different phases of their lives which were sometimes difficult and challenging, often happy and rewarding and always filled with their love for each other and their children and grandchildren.
When Elsie and Albert died, we all thought in our different ways, "Now we are the ones who will need to tell the stories as they were told to us." With the dawn of a new Millennium we felt that it was indeed
